Press release: Kotani Pay recognized by the Digital Public Good Alliance.

Kotani Pay has been successfully reviewed by the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA) and found to be in compliance with the Digital Public Goods standard.

The DPG standard is set up by the DPGA and includes open-source software, open data, open artificial intelligence models, open standards, and open content. To be considered a DPG, the nominated organization must attain nine of the indicators and requirements laid out by the UN Secretary-General in the 2020 Roadmap to Digital Cooperation.

Kotani Pay has met all nine of the requirements and now appears in the digital public goods registry where it will be discoverable as a digital public good and reflected on a growing network of catalogs and aggregated lists of digital public goods.

To us, being a DPG means governments and other entities can build on our platforms and make sustainable and innovative solutions. Kotani Pay offers financial inclusion to the marginalized and unbanked through our USSD and API solution. The DPG helps us further contribute to SDG 1, End poverty in all forms, and SDG 10, reducing inequalities.
